PROPOSED DOG ORDINANCE INFORMATION
In recent weeks, the news has been filled with dog issues. Albemarle County is considering passing two ordinances: one that limits the number of dogs some county residents could own; and one dealing with barking, which could allow one neighbor to have the county remove the offending dog (possibly to be euthanized). The county Board of Supervisors will be discussing these issues are their  June 11, 2008 meeting. The CAKC has formed a legislative committee to lead club efforts concerning local dog legislation.  All Albemarle County residents are encouraged to contact their Supervisor to express their concern.  You can find out who your supervisor is at:
http://www.albemarle.org/department.asp?department=bos&relpage=1944
